We are a diverse neighborhood with one thing in common: we love our neighbors and we love our houses. Anyone interested in moving here needs to have a love of historic preservation and an interest in being active in our neighborhood watch association that meets several times each year to discuss concerns the neighborhood is having. Our neighborhood has an annual Christmas decorations and lights competition, Christmas Open House events, Halloween events, rose tour, historic walk-through events, block parties, neighborhood garage sale days, fund raisers, and so much more. Our neighborhood has won the Fort Smith Neighborhood of the Year award more than any other neighborhood in the city and our residents have won such awards as the Orchid Award for landscaping, Good Neighbor of the Year awards for community volunteerism. We also have the highest number of Community Emergency Response Team members of any neighborhood in the region. Don't expect to get very far on your evening walk because we all enjoy our front porches and visiting--and we'd love to have you join us!
